GRANDVILLARD

The valley is a succession of glacial locks and umbilicals, flats and ledges carved out by ancient glaciers. The walk takes 2 hours 40 minutes and has a positive gradient of 860 metres. The small Lac Coudré is located downstream of the Bounavau hut. This hut can be a goal or a stage on the way up to the Vanil Noir, the highest peak in the Fribourg pre-Alps.

The Bounavau valley is accessible by public transport (TPF), getting off at the Village stop.
